SO SOPHIE
My story with SoSophie, a concept store in the heart of Leuven, goes back to when I was sixteen and started working there as a student. The store, run by my aunt Sophie, combines women’s fashion and lifestyle accessories with a focus on Belgian labels, sustainable brands and a personal approach.
What started as a student job gradually grew into a creative collaboration. Today, I regularly support SoSophie behind the scenes, from creating monthly newsletters and keeping the website up to date to producing reels and photography for their social media channels.Your monthly dose of So Sophie
At least once a month, SoSophie lands in my inbox - quite literally. I create their newsletters from start to finish in Mailchimp, from writing the copy and selecting the right images to designing the layout, adding links and preparing everything for send-out.
Together with Sophie and the team, I discuss upcoming events, promotions and everything happening in-store. From new collections and brands to sales, Mother’s Day and Weekend van de Klant, I then translate those moments into playful newsletters that feel like an extension of the SoSophie experience.
So Sophie in Motion - Social media
More recently, my work for SoSophie has also moved in front of the camera - and behind it. Together with Annelore and the team, I create visual content for Instagram and Facebook, ranging from outfit and new-collection reels to behind-the-scenes moments.
I take care of the creative process from concept and filming to editing in CapCut or Premiere Pro, while photography has become a growing part of the collaboration as well. Using my Sony A6400, I shoot outfits and products for social media, newsletters and the website. One of my favourite shoots so far was the latest winter collection, where I photographed the full team for the first time.Keeping things fresh doesn't stop at the shop floor. I regularly update SoSophie's Wix website to make sure the online presence moves along with what's happening in-store.
From adding and removing products to updating images, writing product copy and refreshing the homepage, I take care of the day-to-day website updates. The next step? Moving towards a more complete webshop experience, connected directly to the store's point-of-sale system.Keeping So Sophie Fresh Online
